The 19-handicapper’s sizzling 64 nett proved unbeatable, and deservedly the young Ballymacnab man was crowned the Captain’s Prize Champion 2021.

Steve Donaghy had a round to remember on his way to victory in the Bankers Cup sponsored by Irwin’s Quality Aggregates on Sunday. The 10 handicapper signed for a gross 70 (nett 60) to win by four and that’s after starting with a double-bogey six.

Alistair Bassett shook off a mid-round wobble to claim the latest Saturday Stableford competition. Alistair went to the turn in 41 shots before a double at 10 followed by another double at the par-three 11th threatened to derail his challenge.
The 22-handicapper bounced back impressively with a birdie at the 12th and finished strongly to come home in 42 shots.

On a wonderful day of sunshine Lady Captain Anne McDonald hosted her long awaited Lady Captain’s Day on Saturday June 25th. Over 100 ladies joined her as they competed for an array of beautiful prizes and the magnificent Lady Captain’s Day Cup. The weather proved to be perfect conditions for everyone to not only enjoy their game but to submit some fantastic scores. Mrs Lena Duffy was overjoyed to be announced the overall winner with a fabulous score of 43 points.
