MEN’S & MIXED TEAM COMPETITIONS 2026
Our club will once again be entering teams in a wide range of Men’s and Mixed competitions during 2026. If you meet the eligibility criteria and would like to represent the club, please contact the relevant Team Captain listed below.
AIG Senior Cup
The Senior Cup team consists of five male members, selected from those players with the lower Handicap Indexes at the club. The competition begins with a regional qualifier, followed by singles matchplay. All matches are played off scratch

AIG Barton Shield
The Barton Shield is a foursomes team competition featuring four players selected from those with the lower Handicap Indexes at the club. All matches are played off scratch.

AIG Junior Cup
The Junior Cup team consists of five male members. To be eligible, players’ lowest Handicap Index last year must have been 2.5 or higher. The competition begins with a stroke play qualifier, followed by match play.

AIG Ulster Cup
The Men’s Ulster Cup team consists of seven players. All matches will be singles matchplay
Eligibility requirements: Players must be over 30 years of age on 1 January 2026, and their lowest Handicap Index last year must have been 9.5 or higher

AIG Pierce Purcell
The Pierce Purcell team consists of eight players, forming four pairings competing in a foursomes matchplay format.
Eligibility requirements: Players must be 18 years or older on 1 January 2026
Based on the lowest Handicap Index held last year, each pairing must have a combined Handicap Index of at least 25.0 and each player a Handicap Index of no lower than 10.5

Ulster Fourball 2026
The Ulster Four-Ball competition features a team of 10 players, competing as five pairs in a matchplay format.
Eligibility requirements: Players must be 18 or older on 1 January 2026, and based on the lowest Handicap Index held last year, the minimum individual handicap is 15.0, and each pair must have a combined Handicap Index of no lower than 34.0

Flogas Irish Mixed Foursomes
The Irish Mixed Foursomes is a male and female pairs competition, featuring teams of eight players (4 mixed pairings). Play in all rounds will be foursomes matchplay.
Eligibility requirement: Players must be over 18 on 1 January 2026, and based on the lowest Handicap Index held in 2025, each pair must have a combined Handicap Index between 19.0 and 27.0

Flogas Irish Mixed Four-Ball
The Irish Mixed Four-Ball is a male and female pairs competition featuring teams of eight players (4 mixed pairings). Play in all rounds will be Fourball matchplay.
Eligibility requirements: Based on the lowest Handicap Index held in 2025, each pair must have a combined Handicap Index between 27.0 and 40.0, and no player may have a Handicap Index lower than 10.0o player may have a Handicap Index lower than 10.0

The Junior Cowdy competition features four pairs competing in four-ball matchplay over two legs (home and away).
Eligibility requirements: Players must be 20 years or older on the 1st Jan in the current year.
