65 Ladies played golf in the continuing sunshine and showers at county Armagh golf club on Thursday 28th April . 52 ladies played 18 holes and 13 played 9 holes.
The competition was sponsored by Arnold Courtney .
1st Place in the Parker Bowl Stableford Competition went to Lena Duffy with a magnificent 42 points followed by Molly Conway in 2nd place with a fantastic 40 points and in a great 3rd place just pipped at the post, was Maggie Mckee with 39 points
Winter League was played over 6 weeks from Thursday 17 September until Wed 28 October with the best 4 out of 6 cards counting.
The winner of the Winter League (Woolworth Cup) was Anne Attwell with 80 pts.
A new Sunday Competition for Ladies has been introduced at Co Armagh Golf Club and the first competition took place on Sunday 11 October. Initially due to the weather and light it is being played over 9 holes but will develop next season to include an 18 hole competition.
The last 18 hole competition of the year took place at Co Armagh on Thursday 1 October. The Competition Standard Scratch was 70.
Lily McMullan was first with 38 pts, Paula McCrory was second with 37 pts and Karen Edgar was third with 35 pts, beating Pauline Gingles on the countback.
The new Monday fun competition kicked off on Monday 28 September when the format was the best two scores at each hole and two joker holes where all scores counted and were doubled. The winners were:
On Thursday 17 September, sixty-six ladies played in the annual McAnerney’s Charity Open Stableford Competition which was once again very generously sponsored by McAnerney’s Supermarket, Armagh.
