CAGC Course

The 6200-yard course with its par of 70 provides a challenging test of skill, as evidenced on the occasions when the Club hosts the major amateur and professional golf championships.

Ranked at index 3 for gents and index 14 for ladies, the St Brigid’s Well par 4 represents a stern opening test to any round at CAGC.

County Armagh’s 2nd hole is a picturesque affair, with the rhododendrons on the left-hand side of the fairway often particularly memorable for visiting players.

At 360 yards for gents and 324 yards for ladies, it could be accurately described as a “thinking golfer’s par 4”, much like the 15th.

The 2nd is nicknamed Lady Anne’s Walk. And if you drive safely up the middle, it is indeed a pleasant dander. However, go left or right and it can very quickly become a troublesome trudge.
