AN HISTORIC CLUB WITH A MAGNIFICENT GEORGIAN PARKLAND SETTING SINCE 1893

Alistair Bassett shook off a mid-round wobble to claim the latest Saturday Stableford competition. Alistair went to the turn in 41 shots before a double at 10 followed by another double at the par-three 11th threatened to derail his challenge.
The 22-handicapper bounced back impressively with a birdie at the 12th and finished strongly to come home in 42 shots.

His score of 45pts gave him a two-shot victory over Damien Grimley with Geoffrey Macartney in third on 42pts. Fourth went to Johnny McSorley, fifth to David Grimley and sixth and seventh to Blaine O’Hanlon and Kevin Boyd.

The gross went to Philip Kelly who grabbed six birdies in total as he posted 39pts.
