AN HISTORIC CLUB WITH A MAGNIFICENT GEORGIAN PARKLAND SETTING SINCE 1893

On Thursday 12th August, our Junior Captain Kaitlyn Leeman held her special day in Armagh Golf Club. Girls from the Junior Section joined Kaitlyn to celebrate this event, along with Lady Captain Anne and Junior Convenor Sylvia. Valued helpers, Ita Deveney and B Gordon were there to cheer the girls on as they teed off for their 18 holes….and Maggie McKee captured memorable moments on camera.

Kaitlyn and her Dad and younger brother followed the girls around in their balloon filled buggy, recognising the fact that Kaitlyn’s chosen Charity was Cancer Research NI….and the girls wore something pink in honour of this charity. As evening approached, it was time to head in for our meal ….grace was said by Mrs B Gordon.

Lady Captain Anne, lady vice Karen along with our President Tom Calvert and his wife, joined us ….as Kaitlyn is Tom and Renee’s granddaughter, it was an honour to have them both there. We all enjoyed the sumptuous meal served up to us by the Parkland Restaurant staff. Afterwards, a gorgeous golf themed cake was cut and served up to everyone…….this beautiful cake made by Johnston’s Bakery was generously donated to us by Mrs. H Johnston.

Kaitlyn made her speech thanking everyone and presented Lady Captain Anne with flowers and a nice surprise present for the Junior Convenor. Kaitlyn received a Nic Mic picture as a memento.

Prize giving followed as parents joined us in the room……..
