On a bright warm day, 49 ladies turned out to compete in the 18 hole September Medal competition with a further 21 participating in the 9 hole competition. Lady Captain Anne sincerely thanked the sponsor Annette from O L Flowers, who distributed the beautiful flower arrangements to the grateful prize winners.

The winner of the September Medal was the comparative newcomer Shernette Mullan who returned a nett 69. Bernie Rice took second prize with a nett 71 beating Rene Calvert into third place on countback. Accepting her prize Bernie thanked Annette for her loyal support for the County Armagh Ladies and her playing partners who kept her focussed during a thoroughly enjoyable round. Meanwhile Ellen Brady took yet another Gross prize with 81 strokes.

Category B winner Denise Murphy Nett 73 (beating S Stinson on countback)
Category C winner Eilish Grimes Nett 73.

9 Hole competition.
1st place Tish Burke 21 points
2nd place Helen McLoughlin. 20 points.
Birdies were recorded by Colette McSorley 3 @17th, Valerie Gordan 3 @ 16th, Cait McKinney 3 @ 16th and Carina Oliver 3 @ 17th.
The only two recorded was Ellen Brady’s 2 @ 7th.

Lady Captain Anne urged as many ladies as possible to participate in the re scheduled McAnerney coffee morning and Open Charity Stableford competition on Thursday 30th September and the Ladies 3 Ball Waltz which will run from Saturday 25th to Tuesday 28th September.
