WHEN Gareth Grimley closed his round with an eight (8) at the par four 18 th hole, he had every reason to believe he'd blown his chances of winning a coveted County Armagh Golf Club Medal.
But his impressive steady scoring earlier cushioned the gaffe so much so that his finishing nett 63 score was still the best in the competition.

FERGAL McKinney's par at the 18th hole earned him first prize in the Complete Living Solutions sponsored stableford at County Armagh.
It was all that separated Fergal and Killylea man Andy McCrea when both recorded 40points in the Sunday club stableford.

GARY Jordan grabbed the early June Open Stableford prize at County Armaghwith 42 points. But will surely have been more than surprised with his win after failing to score at both the 8th and 17 th holes.
21 points and 20 points front and back nines respectively, saw Gary take the honours in the King Bros Quarry sponsored competition ahead of John Morgan on 41 points.

ROAD-RUNNER Brendan Powell produced a top performance to win the race for the President's Prize at County Armagh Golf Club.
His 41 stableford points was the outstanding score on Dr Oliver Woods' President's Day, with a host of golfers on 40 points in a photo finish for the runners up prize.
President's Day competition winner Brendan Powell is presented by his prize by County Armagh Golf Club President Dr Oliver Woods.
A familiar figure pounding the roads around the city and district, Brendan, a ten handicapper, set the early pace completing his round on Friday. His front-running effort with 20 and 21 points, front and back nines respectively, was however, never to be overtaken. And after the final golfers crossed the finishing line late Saturday evening, the brightly Brendan was declared the winner.
