A magnificent seven birdies shot student Adam Cromwell to victory in the County Armagh Open stroke competition, sponsored by Campbell Fuels.
The young golfer's nett 61 was one of the best scores shot at the city course this season and was four shots better than the rest of the field on the day.
In a truly impressive round, Adam, who plays off a handicap of 7, recorded five birdies on route to a five under par back nine.

However, it had looked anything but a winning round until that final stretch – a double bogey at the first and further dropped shots at the 4 th , 7 th and 8 th holes in between birdies at the 3 rd and 6 th , saw him out in three over par.
It all came right for the talented teenager though on the inward trek, kicking off with two pars and four consecutive birdies, he closed his round par, par birdie for that superb nett 61.
Francis Curley (14) was the next best – four shots adrift on nett 65 – a three over par back nine earning him runner's up prize ahead of Andrew Rennie (18) who also returned a nett 65.
Brian Loney (8) returned to winning ways shooting a nett 66 to take fourth prize, edging it in countback from Gary Lappin and J McCann (26), both returning nett 66 also.
Fergal McKinney (21) grabbed seventh place with a nett 67.
Stewart Stevenson took the Best Gross prize with a 69 and to crown a winning day for the Cromwell family, Neil, father of winner Adam, was runner up in the Gross prizes with a 69 also.
