GLEN Baird was following in his father Gary's prize-winning footsteps as he picked up the Bankers Cup.
Glen Baird is presented with the Bankers Cup by Bernard Grimley, from Bank of Ireland. Included also are County Armagh Golf Club Vice Captain Martin Oliver, Jerome Leer and Gary McDonald.
Last month Gary collected runners-up prizes in the County Armagh April Medal and Hirsch Cup competitions. But son Glen will lay claim to the household bragging rights by winning the club's Bankers Cup competition, sponsored by Bank of Ireland.

JERMOME Leer's 3-shot victory in County Armagh's May Medal was a masterclass in combating difficult blustery conditions.

The five-handicapper produced an untouchable winning score – nett 67 - in the Sunday stroke competition to claim the honours. Mark Stevenson was his nearest rival with a nett 70 score.

JONATHAN Hewitt may initially have wondered why his name was missing from the system when he went to register his score in the County Armagh Club Stroke competition, sponsored by A&N Shilliday.

But there was no confusion in the result – his nett 67 was the outstanding score on the day and deservedly earned him the top prize.

BY an impressive four points Philip Devlin claimed first prize in the CMG Solicitors sponsored club stableford at County Armagh.

24 points from the front nine holes complimented by a further 19 on the back nine earned him the honours. And he also dipped in the Two's Pot with a birdie at the par three 11 th hole.
