It was a fantastic week for the ladies from County Armagh Golf Club as they had two teams representing Ulster in the AIG All-Ireland Match Play Finals 22-24 September at Dundalk Golf Club, with many club members travelling down to support.
The Minor Cup team had an excellent performance in the semi-final on Thursday, beating Athy (East Leinster) in a very tightly fought contest with Eileen Fitzsimons winning her match on the 20 th hole to seal the victory for County Armagh, allowing them to progress to Friday's All-Ireland final. They faced Ballinrobe Golf Club (Connacht) and unfortunately were unable to beat the stronger team on the day. They were still proud to be presented with their silver medals as All-Ireland runners up in front of a packed club house in Dundalk.
The Challenge Cup played Ballybunion (Munster) in their semi-final and despite a great win (6&4) by Ann O'Reilly unfortunately lost three other matches.
The Minor Cup team and caddies in happy mood awaiting their tee off ahead of Friday's All-Ireland final
