The Ladies Branch of Co Armagh Golf club have been organising a fundraising mixed greensomes golf tournament for a number of years in aid of the RLB, which relies entirely on donations and legacies. This year the event was once again generously sponsored by club member Noel Conn of Noel Conn & Company, Chartered Accountants, Armagh.
Players competed in a shot gun start greensomes competition for an array of valuable golf prizes which were presented by Noel on the night. Gross prize was secured by Anthony Hillen and his daughter whose excellent score of 80 could not be bettered.
The nett prizes went to Jacqueline and Gerry Kelly whose 68 secured the third place behind Anne and Ian O'Hea with a nett 66.
Winners on the night with a 65.5 nett were past Lady Captain Una Cullinane and her partner Johnny Palmer.
Una on behalf of all who played thanked Noel for his generous sponsorship and in keeping with his usual tradition Noel provided a number of spot prizes for those whose scores had not secured them a place in the winner's rostrum.
