AN HISTORIC CLUB WITH A MAGNIFICENT GEORGIAN PARKLAND SETTING SINCE 1893

Forty seven ladies competed in ideal conditions at Rockmount on Monday 22nd May, eight of those in the 9 hole competition. Rockmount proved the perfect venue for a ladies' outing offering challenging golf, excellent catering and a golf shop stocked with an enticing array of golf attire.

The course was in beautiful condition but it required skill and patience to achieve the top prizes. Ellen Brady secured the gross prize with 23 points. A delighted Jacqueline Kelly took first place with an excellent 37 points play. whilst Hilary Johnston was awarded second place with a score of 32 points.

The prize winners thanked the Lady Captain Mrs Gail Steed and her Lady Vice Captain Elizabeth Mawhinney for all the hard work they had done in organising the trip and the lovely prizes.

Category A Colette McAleavey 31 points.

Category B Elizabeth Mawhinney 31 points.

Category C Ann McIIroy 32 points beating Sheila Stinson on BB9

Category D Maura McCoy 29 points.

Front 9 Ann O'Reilly 19 points.

Back 9 Lynn Browne 18 points.

9 hole Marjorie Compston 18 points.

The longest drive was awarded to Francis Davidson, with honours for nearest the pin going to Ann Attwell.
