CAGC's most historic (and arguably most prestigious) piece of silverware will be contested on Saturday 1 June in a stroke event once again kindly sponsored by Armagh City Hotel.
The storied Lonsdale Cup's inaugural recipient was H.J. Daly in 1896 and – just 122 years later! – Ed Hughes was the deserving champion in 2018.
Who will be next to join the illustrious group (see below) to have their name etched on the famous old trophy?

This is usually a hectic time of year for County Armagh Golf Club on the inter-club matchplay front, and it's been no different in 2019 with several of the club's sides in recent action.
Perhaps most notably among those, the Senior Cowdy Cup panel sealed passage to the tournament's second round through a marvellous, if narrow, victory over Mourne.
CAGC's Rossmore Cup side will try to overturn their 3½ - ½ first round first leg deficit against Lurgan on 2 June.
Michael Calvert's men welcomed their Newcastle opponents to the Cathedral City on Sunday 12 May and capitalised on home advantage in securing a useful 3-1 halfway lead.

The Hirsch Cup is one of County Armagh Golf Club's smallest trophies in physical terms. On Saturday 4 May, however, it yielded one of the biggest on-course performances of the 2019 season.
That belonged to Lee Stewart, whose immense gross 71 dispatched all comers and ensured he took rightful receipt of the diminutive Hirsch silverware.
In the competition once again kindly sponsored by Netstretch Limited, Lee recorded birdies at the 4th, 6th, 8th and 12th while piecing together the peerless nett 65 that also saw his handicap reduced from six to five.
Lee Stewart is presented with the Hirsch Cup by Cormac Knott of Netstretch Ltd, sponsors of the annual stroke competition at County Armagh Golf Club. Looking on are Club Captain, Kenny Edgar, and Adam Cromwell, who won category 1.

The final Saturday of April heralded the first qualifying event on County Armagh Golf Club's 2019 fixture list. And the swirling and stiff gusts ensured that playing conditions on the 27th are likely to be among the toughest experienced on the Cathedral City course all season.
Scoring by the 130 April Medal contenders, then, was understandably conservative. However, a happy anomaly came in the form of Chris Lester, who returned a magnificent nett 63 to claim the maiden monthly accolade of this campaign.
County Armagh Golf Club Captain, Kenny Edgar, is pictured with April Medal category 1 and 2 winners, Joe Rooney and Bernard Grimley.

A sub-par round is worthy of success in any competition at County Armagh Golf Club, and that was exactly how it panned out for Marty Gill in a stableford event on 12 May.
Marty's near immaculate 69-stroke outing comprised birdies at the 8th and 12th and a hefty haul of 15 other pars, with the only blemish coming in the shape of an inconsequential bogey at the closing hole.
The resultant 42 points handed the big-hitter a new handicap of four in addition to the top Sunday honours. And Gill will hope to bring this scintillating form with him to Nuremore on 2 June , when he will be a key member of Stewart Stevenson's side at the Junior Cup qualifying session.
The runner-up to Marty was Ryan Runnette, whose handicap continues to make steady progress downwards. Three pars in the last seven holes boosted Ryan's stableford tally to a wonderful 41 points and added another voucher to his burgeoning early-season collection.
