WHILE others were still enjoying a week-end sleep-in, early-bird Colm McElroy was racking up a winning score in County Armagh's Sunday stableford.
His 41 points won the competition, albeit on countback from Barry McGurgan (10).
Four opening pars got 16-handicapper Colm off to a blazing start on his way to 21 points by the turn. And he added a further 20 points on the return trek to claim the top prize.

THERE'S a fast-rising new sports star in the Campbell family home at Edenvale in Armagh.
While elder brother Shea peddles his talents in soccer, master Lee Campbell is making a name for himself in golf.
At least that's the case at County Armagh Golf Club where recently teenager Lee – the Club's Juvenile Captain – has been featuring regularly in the prizes – his latest being the A&N Shilliday sponsored Club Stableford.
County Armagh Golf Club Captain Martin Oliver presents Lee Campbell with his prize after winning the A&N Shilliday sponsored stableford competition. Included also is runner up John Lavery and Sunday stableford competition prize winners Brendan Beagan and Barry McGurgan.
