AN HISTORIC CLUB WITH A MAGNIFICENT GEORGIAN PARKLAND SETTING SINCE 1893

A MASSIVE 24 points from the opening nine holes was the launching pad to victory for Peter Murtagh in the Sunday Club stableford at County Armagh.

The 21-handicapper added a further 19 points on his homeward trek for an untouchable 43 points total on the day.

It was two points better than runner up Ronan O'Reilly (9).

And it was also two points better than Category 1 winner Adam Hunniford (9) who chalked up birdie 2s at the 3 rd and 7 th holes and in between disappointingly registered a ‘no score' at the 6 th hole. Kieran Grimley (12) was runner up in the same category with 38 points.

In Category 2 it was Gary McDonald who romped it, returning 41 points which was a massive four points better than runner up Colm McElroy (15).

And in Category 3 Tim Teehan (19) nipped in for first prize on countback ahead of Caolan McBride (20)  when both  returned scores of 39 points.
