65 Co. Armagh lady golfers competed in the July Medal Competition.

Conditions were unusually dry and the ladies took advantage of the favourable weather. The top lady was N. Spence (nett 67) closely followed by C. Cassidy and A. Black ( both 71). Category winners were as follows: A: B. Rice, B: U. Cullinane, C: F. Quinn and D: M. McCoy. The gross prize was won by Lady Captain P. McCrory while the par lady was A. Mone. Front 9 winner was D. Carolan and back 9 was G. Rafferty.

SUNDAY - 29th JULY - 4-BALL BETTER-BALL COMPETITION

Even though this is not an Open Competition, booking for this Competition will open on Friday, 13th July at 1900 hrs, as it precedes Open Week, which is also available for booking on the same date.

CAPTAIN'S DAY - 3rd and 4th AUGUST

Booking for Captain's Day will open on Friday, 20th July at 1900 hrs, as there is an Open Mixed Greensomes on Sunday, 5th August, which normally opens two weeks prior to competition.

CHANGE OF COMPETITION DATES

Because Captain's Day has been moved to 3rd and 4th August, there have been one or two changes to other competition dates - details are on Noticeboards and at Competition Office.

Please note that due to the current weather conditions and warnings from the Met. office, all activities relating to Captain's Day this weekend (6/7th July) have been postponed.

The Captain's Prize will now be played for on Friday 3rg August and Saturday 4th August with the coffee morning, Captain's dinner, prizes presentation and dance also taking place on the Saturday.
