Juvenile golfer Aoife Lennon has again beaten off stiff competition to win this week's competition,which was very kindly sponsored by Billy Nellins (Sports Therapist) who came and presented the prizes.
Lady Captain Irene thanked him for his support of the Ladies Branch.
Aoife's winning score of 39 points, beat Hilary Johnston also with 39 points on the countback. Also in close contention was Rita Grimley with 38 points.

Noel Conn & Co. very generously sponsored the Margaret Deane Mixed Greensomes again this year. After a very wet day the evening cleared up and everyone enjoyed a dry round of golf. Conditions weren't too bad and good scores were recorded. The winners were John Lowe and Pauline Vallely who had a net 61. Lady Captain Irene thanked Noel for his continued sponsorship and was glad to see it was well supported.

This year the highly sought after Ellie Mayne Cup was won by Gail Steed who narrowly beat Vera Ellingham and Teresa McVeigh into second and third place respectively, all three returned 39 points. The course was playing well and there was a good turn out from the ladies due to the brilliant weather.

Around 60 ladies played for the July Medal which was very generously sponsored by Benetton. It was another very hot day and the course was playing well. The scores were good but it was one of the up and coming juvenile girls, Ciarrai Devlin who took first place with a net 67, closely followed by Una Cullinane with a net 68.
