This week's competition was the PGA Tankard sponsored by Club Professional Alan Rankin. The winner was Elizabeth Mawhinney with 38 points beating Sylvia Ashe on countback with Brigid McAneaney on 37 points in third place.
Category A was won by Catherine Corrigan, Category B by Colette McSorley,Category C by Carmel Cassidy and Category D by Rita Grimley. Jacqueline Kelly claimed the Front 9 with 21 points and Paula McCrory the Back 9 with 20 points. The winner of the 9-hole competition was Toni McManus on 18 points.
The Lady Captain congratulates Vera Ellingham on winning the Ladies Open held on St. Patrick's Day with a score of 38 points on countback from Teresa Corrigan. Margaret Marjoram was third with 35 points. Vera will now represent the Ladies in the Rory Foundation –Dubai Duty Free Irish Open Qualifier regional finals to be held early in April.
The Spring League results were announced and prizes awarded on Thursday night. Moya Brady was delighted to be the overall winner on 94 points with Paula McCrory and Ellen Brady joint second on 92 points and Anne Attwell and Elizabeth Mawhinney sharing third place with 91 points.
