There was a fantastic response to Co Armagh Golf Club’s 2022 GIG programme, which was fully subscribed. The programme kicked off with an induction evening way back in May and the conclusion of the formal programme was on Tuesday 9 August.
It was a beautiful late summer’s evening and a large number of the programme’s participants took part in a putting competition, prior to their graduation.
The ladies enjoyed some fun with their fellow Get Into Golfers, over a glass of wine, tea or coffee and a slice of cake, provided by Johnston’s Bakery, before receiving their Certificates from Lady Captain Karen Edgar.
The winners of the 18 hole putting competition were:
1st Catherine Vernon 42 putts
2nd Cathy Brankin 44 putts
3rd Gillian Wright 44 putts
Membership forms were available and a number of the ladies have signed up to continue on for the rest of the subscription year.
A special word of thanks to Will Carey, Professional and to Maggie McKee, 2022 GIG Co-ordinator and all her helpers.
From what we’ve seen there are definitely going to be some good golfers from amongst this group of ladies!
