AN HISTORIC CLUB WITH A MAGNIFICENT GEORGIAN PARKLAND SETTING SINCE 1893

Fifty-three ladies competed for the Centenary Trophy at Co Armagh Golf Club on Thursday 11 August, which was very generously sponsored by Dante’s.

Lady Captain Karen Edgar extended a warm welcome to fellow golfer Carina and her husband Daniel, Dante’s, who had come on board as new sponsors for 2022, and thanked them sincerely for their support.  Daniel presented the voucher prizes to the winners.

The winner of the Centenary Trophy was the defending champion, Lady Captain Karen Edgar, with a fantastic nett 62, beating Gina Morris, also with a nett 62, into second place.

Aoife Lennon won the gross prize with gross 80, beating Mary Black on countback and third place went to Denise Murphy with nett 65.

Eighteen ladies played in the 9-hole competition which was won by Marie Tennyson with 28 points.  Audrey Kellett was second with 25 points.

There were birdies for Aoife Lennon at the 1st, Colette McSorley at the 8th, Maggie McKee at the 12th and Geraldine Rafferty at the 16th.  Twos were recorded by June Humphries at the 3rd, Colette McAleavey, Alexandra Mawhinney and LVC Lily McMullan at the 7th, Denise Murphy at the 7th and 11th and Aoife Lennon at the 13th.
