AN HISTORIC CLUB WITH A MAGNIFICENT GEORGIAN PARKLAND SETTING SINCE 1893

The favourable playing conditions and run on the ball continued for the August Medal competition at County Armagh Golf Club on Thursday 18 August. 

The winner of the August Medal was June Humphries, with nett 66, beating Anne Black on the countback into second place.  Paula McCrory won the gross with gross 77.

The category winners were:

Cat A    Ellen Brady                     nett 69 (beating Hilary Johnston on countback)

Cat B    Flo McCall                      nett 68

Cat C    LC Karen Edgar              nett 67

Cat D    Lena Duffy                      nett 71 (beating C Murray on countback)

Thirteen ladies entered the 9 hole competition, won by Marie Tennyson with 22 pts.

There were birdies for Ellen Brady at the 2nd, 10th and 17th, Paula McCrory at the 8th, LC Karen Edgar and Colette McSorley at the 10th and June Humphries at the 17th.  Twos were recorded by LVC Lily McMullan at the 3rd, June Humphries and Siobhan Donnelly at the 7th, Karen Edgar at the 9th and Mary Black at the 11th.
