Congratulations to Moya Brady and Pauline Vallely who were worthy winners against a very strong foursomes pairing from Ashfield Golf Club. Moya and Pauline fought tooth and nail to emerge winners on the 18th. They now go forward into the second round. We wish them all the best.

We are now into the final week of the Spring League and things are getting pretty close between the teams. Every score this week could be vital.

In the lead at present with 449pts are The Hopefuls, followed by the Dream Team on 433. In 3rd place we have the Open Contenders on 426.

The leading individual at present is Myrtle Rhodie on 81pts. Nicola Spence is hot on heels with 80pts.However the race could get even tighter as one weeks score as to be dropped.

Despite the bad weather and the course being closed 34 ladies returned cards this week. Some notable scores were returned; Paula Mc Crory 21points, Una Cullinane, Kay Molloy, Anne Attwell and Anne Mone all had 19points. The Team competition is hotting up with The Hopefuls taking an early lead,
