The Parker Bowl competition took place at County Armagh Golf Club on Thursday 17th April 2025 having been very kindly sponsored by Lindsay Lawn Care/Arnold Courtney.
Lady Captain Frances Davidson welcomed everyone to prize-giving and thanked Lyndsay Lawn Care for continuing the good work of Arnold Courtney and the family connection with the Parker Bowl by coming on board as a sponsor this year.
Fifty-one ladies took part in the 18 hole competition.
1st Shernette Mullan 37 pts
2nd Mary Knott 36 pts
3rd Helen Forster 35 pts
The category winners were:
Cat A Paula McCrory 35 pts
Cat B Denise Murphy 35 pts
Cat C Patricia Hughes 34 pts
Winner of the front was Sheila Stinson 20 pts (beating Anne Kinsella on countback).
Jacqueline Kelly won the back 9 with 19 pts (beating Joy Steenson on countback).
9 Hole Competition
Fourteen ladies played in the 9 hole competition.
1st Audrey Kellett 19pts
2nd Ruth Black 18 pts (beating Lorraine Megaw on countback).
Birdies and Twos
There were birdies for LVC Julie McCarten 3 @ 15th, Paula McCrory 3 @ 2nd and Mary Black 3 @ 15th.
Twos were recorded by Paula McCrory 2 @ 9th, Gillian Poole 2 @ 18th and Patricia Hughes 2 @ 7th.
The evening concluded with an Easter raffle with two beautiful hampers kindly donated by Lady Captain Frances Davidson. Winners were Jacqueline Kelly and Bernie Gribben.
