AN HISTORIC CLUB WITH A MAGNIFICENT GEORGIAN PARKLAND SETTING SINCE 1893

Forty-four ladies competed in the April Medal at County Armagh Golf Club on Thursday 24th April 2025 which was very kindly sponsored by A Embroidery. Lady Captain thanked A Embroidery for their very generous sponsorship.

Maggie Donnelly won the competition with a fantastic nett 65, four clear of Collette McAleavey’s nett 69.  Vera Ellingham was third with nett 72 beating Elizabeth Mawhinney on countback.

The gross prize was won by Ellen Brady - gross 82.

The category winners were:

Cat A LVC Julie McCarten Nett 74

Cat B Ann Kinsella Nett 77 (beating Jacqueline Kelly on countback)

Cat C Elizabeth Mawhinney Nett 72

Marie Tennyson won the front nine with a nett 28 and Lena Duffy won the back nine with nett 35.

Nine hole competition

A further 18 ladies played in the nine hole competition which was won by Ruth Black with 22 pts.  In second place was Carmel Harney with 16 pts.

Birdies and Twos

There were twos recorded for Helen Forster 2 at 7th, Emma Oliver

2 at 18th and Anne Kinsella 2 at 18th.
