The first of the two ladies Open Week Competitions at Co Armagh Golf Club was a 3-Ball Scramble, held on Monday 5 August. The competition was generously sponsored by BPerfect, represented at prize-giving by Brendan O’Hea.
A fantastic thirty-two teams took part in the competition which included visiting teams from Ardglass, Ballycastle, Ballyclare, Banbridge, City of Derry, Contra Wood, Edenmore, Gort, Headfort, Kirkistown Castle, Malone, Mannan Castle, Portadown, Rossmore, Shandon Park and Tandragee

2nd Gillian Murphy (Malone), Rosemary Campbell (Edenmore) and Iris McAleenon (Edenmore) Nett 64
3rd Dianne Conway, Lesley Anderson and Diane Nickels (all Malone) Nett 64.7

The second Open Competition of the week took place on Thursday 8 August. The Summer Open Stableford was once again generously sponsored by The Parkland Restaurant and Brenda was in attendance to present the prizes. Forty-four ladies played in the 18 hole competition, which included visitors from Aughnacloy.

A further 13 ladies entered the 9 hole competition which was won by Teresa Corrigan with 20 pts. Lady Vice Captain Frances Davidson was second with 17 pts.
There were birdies for Geraldine Rafferty and Abigail Edwards at the 2nd and Vera Ellingham and Maggie McKee at the 12th.
Twos were record by Barbara Gartland at the 3rd, Past Lady Captain Lily McMullan at the 7th, Geraldine Rafferty at the 9th and Julie McCarten and Donna Carolan at the 18th.
