Fifty-seven ladies competed in the Stableford competition for the Ellie Mayne Cup which was once again very generously sponsored by Hewitt Meats on 7 July 2022.
Lady Captain Karen extended a warm welcome to James Hewitt, Hewitt Meats to prize-giving and thanked him for the array of beautiful prizes and his generous sponsorship of the prestigious competition, which had also included fruit and water for ladies heading out onto the course.
Lena Duffy lifted the cup with a fabulous 40 points and Sheila Stinson was second with 39 points, beating Lady Vice Captain Lily McMullan and Vera Ellingham on the countback.
Lady Vice Captain Lily McMullan won the gross prize with 29 gross points.
Vera Ellingham was third with 39 points and Eileen Fitzsimons fourth with 38 points, beating Moya Brady on the countback.

A further 17 ladies played in the 9 hole competition which was won by Theresa Campbell with 21 points. Gladys Villiers was second with 19 points, beating Mary Knott on the countback.
There were birdies for Gladys Villiers at the 8th, Geraldine Rafferty at the 16th, Bernie Rice and Emma Garrigan at the 17th, Aoife Lennon at the 18th and for Paula McCrory at the 10th, 17th and 18th.
There were 2s recorded by Paula McCrory at the 7th and Ellen Brady at the 7th and 9th.
James Hewitt, Hewitt Meats presented each of the prize-winners with their prize, which included a meat voucher. In his address to the crowded club house he congratulated all the prize-winners and expressed his delight at being associated with the prestigious competition and confirmed his continuing support.
There were also meat vouchers for three lucky recipients whose cards were drawn out.
