AN HISTORIC CLUB WITH A MAGNIFICENT GEORGIAN PARKLAND SETTING SINCE 1893

Fifty-two ladies played in the Club Stableford at Co Armagh on Thursday 16 July at Co Armagh.

The competition standard scratch was 70.

Bernie McBride won first place, Vera Ellingham second and Lily McMullan third all with 38 pts.

The remaining prize winners were:

Cat A – Emma Garrigan 37 pts Cat B – Denise Murphy 35 pts beating Michelle Kinane on countback Cat C – Lynne Brown 34 pts Cat D – Anne Attwell 36 pts

Margaret Marjoram won the Front 9 with 19 pts, beating Audrey Kellett on the countback and Maggie McKee won the Back 9 with 22 pts.

There were 2s for Anne McDonald at the 3rd, June Humphries and Paula McCrory at the 7th and Michelle Kinane at the 9th.

Birdies were recorded by Colette McSorley at the 2nd, June Humphries at the 10th and Michelle Kinane at the 18th.

Fifteen ladies entered the 9-hole competition and for the second week running the competition was won by Theresa Campbell with 17 pts beating Margaret Oakes, also with 17 pts, into second place.

The weekly Time For Nine competition was won by Teresa Corrigan with 20 pts and Paula McCrory, also with 20 pts, was second.

There was just the one handicap cut – Lily McMullan cut from 8 to 7.4.
