Fifty-five ladies from Co Armagh Golf Club travelled to Slieve Russell Hotel, Golf and Country Club for the 2019 Lady Captain's outing on Sunday 28 and Monday 29 April.
Upon arrival on Sunday 28 April ladies enjoyed tea/coffee and jam and cream scones and Lady Captain Moya provided a little goodie bag for each golfer before they set off to play the immaculately kept championship course.
Prizegiving followed a beautiful 3-course meal and the results were:
9-hole competition – Bernie Harvey
Longest Drive – Maggie McKee
Nearest the Pin – Margaret Marjoram
Back 9 – Geraldine Rafferty – 16 pts
Front 9 – Frances Davidson – 18 pts
Category A– Bernie Rice – 30 pts
Category B – Anne O'Reilly – 29 pts
Category C – Sheila Stinson – 27 pts
Category D – Joy Steenson – 27 pts
In third, with 30 pts, was Bernie McBride. Anne Mone was second with 31 pts and the winner was Paula McCrory with 32 pts.
On receiving her prize, on behalf of all those present, Paula McCrory thanked Lady Captain Moya for her hard work in organising the outing.
There were birdies for Teresa McVeigh at the 4 th and Ellen Brady at the 10 th and twos were record by Catherine McAnerney and Anne McDonald at the 4 th and by Phil Rice at the 16 th .
Live music in Kells Bar provided an opportunity for those with any energy left to show off their dancing skills and the dulcet tones of the ladies from Co Armagh Golf Club rounded off the evening with a sing-song.

On Monday 29 April the 9-hole competition was won by Margaret Marjoram. Meanwhile, for those playing 18 holes, the format was a Scramble and the winners were:
1 st – Bernie Rice, Helen McLaughlin and Bernie Harvey – nett 66
2 nd – Eilish Grimes, Caitlin McKinney, Gail Steed – net 67.3
3 rd – Hilary Johnston, Maggie McKee and Margaret Oakes – nett 70.2
4 th – Valerie Gordon, Joy Steenson and Kathleen Mallon – nett 70.2
