COUNTY Armagh Golf Club Captain Martin Oliver has praised local firms and businesses for their support during the year.

He speaking at the Annual Sponsors Day - sponsored this year by B4B - at which representatives of local businesses and their guests enjoyed a round of golf and a special night of hospitality and entertainment.
Martin said: “We are ever indebted to our sponsors who faithfully provide financial support year in year out. And to those new sponors who have come on board this year, I would especially say a big thank you.
“Sponsorship in any form provides a huge boost to club coffers and at County Armagh our members – men and ladies – are very much appreciative of all of the support that we receive from local business.
“We endeavour to show this appreciation to each individual sponsors at our weekly competition prize presentations, but Sponors Day allows us to say a collective thank-you to one and all.”
Despite the heavy rain and fairly miserable playing conditions, the Sponsors Day competition was enjoyed by a huge number.
Afterwards, a welcoming warm meal served by the Seven Hills Restaurant, and a glass of wine was enjoyed by all who took part before Captain Martin Oliver and Lady Captain Una Cullaine presented the prizes.
