JARLATH McReynolds’ level-par round for 40 stableford points won the recent Sunday competition at County Armagh.
The talented young golfer, playing off a handicap of 4, landed the prize with two birdies, 14 pars and two bogeys.
His 40 points was one better than Tomas McElmeel who pencilled 21 points from his front nine holes, but managed only a further 18 points from the back nine.
Tomas’ 39 points and better back nine holes however, was just that little bit better than Gareth Reilly who also returned 39 points.

EUGENE Creelman’s 41 stableford points was enough to lift the County Armagh Half-Century Cup.
In the annual competition for the club’s over 50’s golfers, the 13-handicapper took the honours – albeit on countback, after Derick Hynes returned an equally impressive 41 points.
A massive 23 points from his back nine holes – added to 18 points from the front nine - undoubtedly sealed the result for Eugene.

IT may not have been the Olympic gold medal won by Justin Rose, but Sean Dougan’s August Medal win at County Armagh will be treasured just the same.
The local tyre company manager was the impressive winner of the Daly Motor Spares sponsored stroke competition.
Playing off a handicap of 13, his nett 62 was three shots better than the rest of the field. Anthony Conlon was the closest anyone got to Sean, returning a nett 65.
Sean Dougan is presented with the August Medal by Nicky Daly from Daly Motor Spares Ltd, competition sponsors, in the company of County Armagh Golf Club Captain Martin Oliver, and runners up Philip Kelly and (back row L-R) Sean McAnenly, Anthony Conlon, Ronan O'Reilly and Norman Mallon

DAVID Grimley's back-nine birdie blitz saw him lift the Gerry Lenagh Trophy at County Armagh.
The young golfer had three sprinkled among two bogeys and four pars to rack up a superb 26 points on his finishing trek. And with 20 points already pencilled in from the front nine holes, his magnificent 46 points final tally was the outstanding score of the annual stableford competition sponsored by Morgan McLernon Transport Distribution.
It was a fitting climax to a hugely successful Open Week at County Armagh which was attended by golfers from across Ireland, north and south.
County Armagh Golf Club Captain Martin Oliver presents the Gerry Lenagh Trophy to David Grimley, winner of the Morgan McLernon sponsored stableford competition. Included also are runners up Niall McGurgan, Gerry Cullen, Des McLaughlin, Jerome Leer, Gary McCourt, Philip Kelly and Ronan O'Reilly.
