ALAN Wilson kicked off his July holidays by winning the Complete Living Solutions sponsored stroke competition at County Armagh.
The 12-handicapper recorded a nett 65 to claim the prize by one shot – from 14-handicapper Eamon O’Hagan.

Complete Living Solutions proprietor Damien Smyth – a sponsor at the club for 15 years - joined Club Captain Martin Oliver for the first of the July competition presentations. And while winner Alan was unable to attend, his impressive winning score was still loudly applauded a packed clubhouse.
On a day when weather conditions did not favour high scoring, a two over par front nine was an excellent launch pad for Alan, and with just a further five shots dropped over the back nine, his nett 65 proved beyond reach for the remainder of the field.
Eamon O’Hagan got closest, returning a nett 66, from a two over par front nine and six over par back nine holes.
Lee Campbell (6) returned to the prize list with an impressive nett 67 – birdies on his card recorded at the 3rd, 7th and 14 holes. And in the same category 1 Philip Kelly (1) equally impressed with a nett 68 and birdies a the 2nd, 6th, 10th and 12th holes.
In Category 2 Paul McCurry (13) was also back among the prizes with a nett 69, with Patrick Quinn (13) runner up on nett 70.
And in Category 3 it was Peter McParland (23) who claimed the top prize with a nett 70, with Jason Rolston (19) runner up with a nett 71.
