AN HISTORIC CLUB WITH A MAGNIFICENT GEORGIAN PARKLAND SETTING SINCE 1893

JASON Rolston enjoyed the holiday celebrations more than most after winning the Open Stableford competition at County Armagh.

The 19-handicapper returned an impressive 43 points to lift the top prize. A magnificent 24 points from the back nine holes alongside 19 points collected on the front nine holes made up the winning total.

And it was two points better than all the rest on the day.

County Armagh Golf Club Captain Martin Oliver presents Jason Rolston with his first prize in the County Armagh Open Stableford competition. Included also are runners up John Mawhinney and Malachy McSorley.

Malachy McSorley (28) was the next best with 41 points – steady scoring returning him 20 and 21 points respectively front and back nines.

In third place was David Grimley (13) with 39 points – a birdie at the par four 10th part of a better back nine nicking it in front of Ian Beaddie (11) who also returned 39 points despite ‘no scores’ at the 7th and 13th holes.

And John Mawhinney claimed the final prize with 38 points.
