AN HISTORIC CLUB WITH A MAGNIFICENT GEORGIAN PARKLAND SETTING SINCE 1893

DWAYNE Houston collected his first ever Medal win at County Armagh returning an impressive nett 64 for the prize.

Steady scoring throughout secured the victory ahead of 9-handicapper Caolan Doyle whose nett 65 round included a birdie 2 at the 7th hole.

Michael McGuirk (12) won Category 1 with a nett 66 and will be disappointed by double bogeys at the 8th and 16th holes. Nigel McMahon (9) – recording a birdie at the 4th and a triple bogey at the 9th – claimed the runner’s up prize.

In Category 2, Brian Cleland (18) was best on the day, returning a nett 68 and one shot ahead of Patrick Quinn on nett 69 which was also one better than his prize-winning 70 the previous day.

In Category 3 Gareth Grimley (23) claimed first prize with a nett 70 with Sean Dougan (21) runner up on nett 71.

Philip Kelly (1) had the best gross score – 70 on the day.
