IAN Millar was two points better than the rest of the field in the Sunday Stableford at County Armagh - the 12-handicapper’s 41 points proving untouchable.

A birdie 3 at the par four 4th hole saw him on his way to 21 points by the turn. And with a further 20 points added from a steady scoring back nine he was never going to be caught.

Kyle Wilson (7) was the best of the rest returning 39 points – 19 and 20 on front and back nines respectively for the runners up prize.

Kieran Grimley (12) led home the category winners. His 39 points from a round which included a ‘no score’ at the 8th hole, was two better than Noel Murtagh (11), returning 37 points.

In Category 2 Martin Carson (17) clinched the top prize with 37 points, his better back nine winning ahead of Michael Calvert (15) who also carded 37 points.

Gavin McElmeel (19) won Category 3 with 36 points which was an impressive three points better than runner up Brendan Lynch on 33 points.

And Niall Brady (4) had the best gross score 36 points.
