AN HISTORIC CLUB WITH A MAGNIFICENT GEORGIAN PARKLAND SETTING SINCE 1893

CHRIS Guinane edged Sunday's Club Stableford competition by the narrowest of margins.

With Richard Stewart and Niall Brady also returning nett 65 scores to match that of Chris's, it took a countback to sort out the winner.

The 17 handicapper might have got off to a disappointing start with a triple bogey at the first hole, but he steadied his game and especially over the back nine holes, which he completed just three over par.

Richard Stewart (15), likewise produced a steady round for a nett 65 to claim the runner's up prize.

And Niall Brady (4) clinched the Category 1 first prize with his superb nett 65 – a two under par front nine and one over par back for his nett 65. Runner up in Category 1 was Brian Wilson on nett 66.

In Category 2 Gary Livingstone's nett 66 was best with Johnny Palmer runner up with a nett 67.

Paul McKeown's winning form continued and with a nett 66 returned deservedly claimed Category 3 first prize. Stephen Millar was runner up with a nett 67.

Philip Kelly's (1) 69 was the best Gross score.
