AN HISTORIC CLUB WITH A MAGNIFICENT GEORGIAN PARKLAND SETTING SINCE 1893

A MASSIVE 25 points from the back nine holes was the perfect winning finish for Lee Kirrane in County Armagh Golf Club Professional Alan Rankin's annual competition.

After steady scoring over the front nine holes which realised 18 points, Lee (18) hit top form on the homeward trek to top score with 2 points and a finishing total of 43 points to claim victory.

Paul Doyle (6), returning a similar superb score of 43 points, unfortunately had to concede defeat to Lee on countback.

By a clear two points, Conor McGurgan (2) was best in Category 1, carding 41 pionts, 21 and 20 front and back nine respectively, with Shea Smyth (4) runner up on 39 points.

Tim Teehan (18) returned to winning ways in Category 2 with 40 points claiming first prize and winning on countback from another recent winner Colin Gamble (15) who also returned 40 points.

In Category 3 it was Joseph McElory (19) who was way ahead of the field with 42 points – five better than runner up Leo McCann on 37.
