AN HISTORIC CLUB WITH A MAGNIFICENT GEORGIAN PARKLAND SETTING SINCE 1893

DESPITE a ‘no score' at the 18 th hole, Paul McKeown still walked away with the Sunday stableford prize at County Armagh after recording a massive 43 points.

Lee Stewart (7) returned the same impressive 43 points but had to concede to Paul in countback.

An outstanding 23 points from the front nine holes was complimented with a further 20 on the back for that magnificent total 43 points by Paul.

Stewart actually racked up 24 points on his front nine holes with birdies at the 3 rd , 4 th and 8 th holes. And with further steady scoring on the homeward trek including a birdie at the 17 th , he added 19 for a 43 points total.

Barry Leeson was the next best on the day with 40 points and deservedly claimed first prize in Category 2 – and that despite recording three double bogeys. Gary baird was runner up with 39 points – a birdie 2 at the 11 th somewhat easing his pain!

In Category 1 it was Mark Shannon (7) who made a return to the prize list with 39 points and a better back nine than that of Ronan McWilliams who claimed second with a similar 39 points.

And in Category 3 August Medal winner Jim Carberry's 39 points and birdies at the 13 th and 15 th holes earned him first prize ahead of Bredan Lynch, also returning 39 points.

Neil Cromwell once again made the Gross Prize his with 38 points – birdies at the 3 rd , 6 th and 12 th holes recorded by the 1-handicapper.
