The Captains' Log
Juvenile Boys Convenor for the 2023 Season is John Lavery and for the Juvenile Girls it is Michelle Kinane. The club recently hosted a Golf Ireland Workshop for Junior Convenors which provided valuable training and advice for all new Junior Convenors and it is hoped to set up a Juvenile Registration evening in early May to kickstart this year's junior programme.

The course itself is starting to take shape and thankfully the incessant rain has somewhat abated. The weather throughout March being the wettest on record has made for a very difficult start to Spring and resulted in the golf course being heavy underfoot with some hole closures staying in place for longer than normal.

Sadly, this month also saw the passing of the brothers of both our Club President Paddy Burns and our Honorable Secretary John Lowe and we extend our sympathies to both families at this sad time.

Spring leagues
February is drawing to a close and March nearly is upon us and both Ladies’ and Men’s Spring Leagues are entering their end games with consistently great scores being returned despite the vagaries of the weather and associated difficult playing conditions.
