AN HISTORIC CLUB WITH A MAGNIFICENT GEORGIAN PARKLAND SETTING SINCE 1893

On Thursday 4th September the annual Armaghdale Open stroke competition was held. The fixture was moved this year to the Thursday due to our ladies AIG Junior Cup team, captained by Past Captain Ellen Brady competing in the AIG All Ireland Finals Women’s Junior competition weekend at Tandragee. Lady Captain on behalf of all members wished them every success in the competition as they play Tipperary in the quarter finals.

Flo Mc Call Ladies Secretary welcomed everyone to the Armaghdale Competition prize giving. She expressed her sincere thanks to Lady Captain Frances on behalf of her husband Gerard Davidson Buisness Account Services for his continued and very generous sponsorship of the competition.

Lady Captain Frances welcomed all Lady members and visitors to the prize giving after competing in either sunshine or outbursts of rain! No matter what the weather it produced great scores and enjoyment.

Lady Captain acknowledged the recent passing of a dear member of our golfing family, Rosemary Mc Sorley and our thoughts and prayers would continue for the family at this sad time.

Lady Captain Frances reminded everyone of the upcoming outing to Belvoir Park, something to look forward to and no doubt an event to end the golfing season with craic and laughter.

Wonderful news of celebration was shared by Lady Captain on the mixed team who had a fantastic victory in the Jack Craig Memorial trophy. Also, congratulations to Paula Mc Crory and Eileen Fitzsimons on their recent success in qualifying at silver and bronze medal level for Hedford.

Lady Captain Frances concluded with encouraging everyone to continue enjoying their golf in the company of one another as we near the end of the golfing season.
