Forty-eight Co Armagh ladies competed for the President’s Prize on Thursday 3 August 2023.

The winners of the 18 and 9 hole competitions were announced and collected their prize from President Paddy Burns at prize-giving on Saturday 13 August.

Helen Forster won the 18 hole competition with a fabulous 43 pts and Gina Morris won the 9 hole competition with 15 pts.

A club stableford competition ran in conjunction with the President’s Prize competition and this was won by Helen Forster won with 43 pts.  Flo McCall was second with 34 pts and Lynne Brown was third with 33 pts.

            (beating Colette McSorley and Maggie McKee on the better back 9)

Cat B    Una Cullinane               31 pts

            (beating Teresa McVeigh on the better back 9)

Cat C   Phil Rice                       31 pts

Cat D   Toni McManus              33 pts

Lena Duffy won the Front 9 with 19 pts and Colette McSorley won the Back 9 with 17 pts.

9 Hole Stableford

The 9 hole competition was won by Gina Morris with 15 pts and Jill McKenna was second also with 15 pts, beating Theresa Campbell and Margaret Oakes on the countback.

Birdies

There were birdies for Siobhan Donnelly at the 2nd, and Colette McSorley and Helen Forster at the 10th.
