Week Three Spring League

So far, the weather has been unseasonably favourable for Spring League 2023.

This year’s Competition Sponsor and Lady Vice Captain, Ellen Brady was the Spring League week three winner, 16th-22nd February, at County Armagh Golf Club.  Winning on the countback with 17 points, her strong finish enabled her to fend off Gail Steed and Flo McCall.

With the best 4 out of 5 cards to count and only two weeks left there is still much to play for.

Lady Captain’s Tee Ladies – 20 February 2023

There was another enjoyable morning on the course for those who competed in the Tee Ladies competition on Monday 20 February.

As always, the golf was followed by refreshments of tea/coffee and treats.  Thanks to Lady Captain Lily and Hewitt Meats for sponsoring the prizes and the goodies and to Neil for serving the tea and coffee.

Phil McKenna was this week’s winner of the Hewitt Meats Roast.  Signing for 18 pts she was 3 points clear of her closest opponents, Eilish Grimes and Paula McCrory, both with 15 pts.  Eilish was therefore runner-up beating Paula on the countback.

All of those ladies who enjoy this weekly competition will be pleased to learn that Lady Captain Lily plans to continue with the Lady Captain’s Tee Ladies Competition followed by refreshments and chat for the time being.  This decision will be kept under review as the golfing season intensifies.
