The annual Margaret Deane Mixed Greensomes competition took place on Friday 20 th July. The competition was sponsored by Noel Conn & Co Accountants .
At the prizegiving in the clubhouse, the Lady Captain Elizabeth Mawhinney expressed her sincere thanks for the continued generous support which Noel has given to the Ladies branch. Elizabeth explained the competition had originally been in foursomes format but is now played as greensomes. Margaret Deane had been an honorary secretary in the club and following her passing the club donated the beautiful trophy in her honour and selected her chosen charity the RNLI as the beneficiary of the event.

1 st Place Ann McDonald and Sean Dougan nett 65.
2 nd Place Colette McSorley and Ciaran Black nett 65
3 rd Place Anne and Dessie Kinsella nett 67 c/b L Brown & S Millar, D Maxwell & T McVeigh.
Gross Prize Paula McCrory and Paul Doyle 76.
Accepting their prize and trophy, Ann McDonald thanked their playing partners and the sponsor.
In addition to the main prizes the sponsor provided 6 bottles of wine for the lucky dip. In his speech Noel Conn congratulated the prize winners and thanked the ladies who had organised the event which he had enjoyed playing in.
