AN HISTORIC CLUB WITH A MAGNIFICENT GEORGIAN PARKLAND SETTING SINCE 1893

Seventy-six golfers, with visitors from nearby clubs including Aughnacloy, Dungannon, Fintona and Loughgall, played in the Pretty n Pink Open Charity Stableford at County Armagh on Thursday 20 October.  The pink-themed competition, which was very generously sponsored by Little House Priory, Benburb had been organised by Lady Vice Captain Lily McMullan.

October is breast cancer awareness month all over the world, an annual campaign to raise awareness about the impact of breast cancer.  By wearing pink, the participants demonstrated their support for all those living with and affected by breast cancer.

It was a beautiful and unseasonably warm day for those who took to the fairways decked out in pink and a fun and enjoyable day.  Everyone got into the spirit of the occasion, with many participants fully embracing the theme.  There were prizes for the best dressed pink outfits which were also sponsored by Little House Priory.

Lady Captain, Karen Edgar welcomed a packed club house to prize giving and extended thanks to Sharon Galloway, Little House Priory, Benburb for her generous sponsorship before calling on Lady Vice Captain Lily.

Lady Vice Captain Lily thanked all those who had participated in the competition and those who dressed in pink.  She also thanked Chapman’s Farm Fresh for the Pink Lady apples provided for all those heading out onto the course and to Woodview Garden Centre and McAlister’s Family Apple Farm, Loughgall who provided the bramley apples with which ladies of the Club baked the tasty apple treats which were sold on the day.
