Golfing Heroes Marty Daly, Patrick Brannigan, Damien Smyth and Declan Quinn will play the Longest Day Golf Challenge in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, at County Armagh Golf Club on June 23rd.

“The Golfing Heroes Longest Day Golf Challenge is an amazing charity event for people affected by cancer,” explained fourball captain Damien. “Personally, and collectively, each of our families has been affected by cancer in some form and we just want to do something to show our appreciation for those who support anyone with the illness.

“I have to admit, four rounds of golf in one day is very daunting – none of us are as young and fit as we'd perhaps like to think we are - but it's for a worthy cause and an undertaking which we believe we can complete successfully.

“We'd like to raise as much money as we can and we'll each be encouraging family, friends and fellow golfers to sponsor us. We're also hoping some local businesses will get involved and sponsor a hole for the day,” added Damien,

Donations being collected by each of the ‘golfing heroes' and can also be made on-line at https://www.justgiving.com/4roundsin1day
