DESPITE a ‘no-score' at the 10 th hole, Stephen McGarvey's 41 points was still the best on the day in the recent Alexander Mills sponsored stableford competition at County Armagh.
Apart from that unfortunate blip, it was steady scoring both front (21 points) and back nine (20 points) which clinched the top prize for Stephen (18).
County Armagh Golf Club Captain Martin Oliver presents Stephen McGarvey with his prize after winning the Alexander Mills sponsored stableford competition. Included also are category prize winners Mark Loughran, Joe Rooney, Brendan Powell and Stewart Stevenson.
Mark Loughran (5) did return a similar 41 points but – even with his card recording four birdies - he lost out on countback!

Paul Pender's 39 points was the best of quite a number of 39s on the day and deservedly picked up 5 th prize with Brendan Powell and Joe Rooney both recording birdies at the 1 st hole – claiming 6 th and 7 th prizes respectively.
The Best Gross scores were returned by Shea Smyth – 39 points and Stewart Stevenson (38).
