NIALL McGurgan enjoyed a virtually blemish-free round to win the James Coburn and Son Ltd sponsored stableford competition at County Armagh.
The six-handicapper's winning 41points was secured with just three dropped shots - two of which were brilliantly compensated by birdies at the 7 th and 10 th holes.
Paddy Darragh (16) was runner up with 40 points and will surely rue his ‘no score' at the 2 nd hole.
In Category 1, Ronan McWilliams (11) also returned 40 points to claim first prize, and with perhaps the day's biggest front nine score of the day - 23 points - accompanied by a further 16 points from the back nine, Andy Conn claimed the runners up prize.
Brian Cleland was a point better than all the rest in Category 2 with a final points tally of 37. And Kieran Grimley's steady scoring for 36 points claimed the runners up prize.
Anthony McEneaney pipped Paul McKeown to first prize in Category 3, winning on countback after they each returned scores of 35 points.
