AN HISTORIC CLUB WITH A MAGNIFICENT GEORGIAN PARKLAND SETTING SINCE 1893

SMALL in stature he may be, but Davy Spratt likes to win big!

His victory in the Bankers Cup was a colossal four shots better than all of his fellow competitors.

And his nett 63 winning score in the Francis Curley Solicitors sponsored competition was all the more impressive being achieved in miserable, wet and windy conditions.

Davy Spratt is presented with the Bankers Cup by Michael Curley, representing Francis Curley Solicitors, competition sponsors, and County Armagh Golf Club Captain Martin Oliver. Included also are category prize winners, Lee Kirane, Lee Campbell, Brendan Lynch and Gregory Kerr

An 18-handicapper and a member of the Club's Ulster Fourball team, Davy battled the elements successfully to return a 7-over front nine and 4-over back nine which included a birdie 3 at the 17 th hole.

Neil Dowzell (17) was Davy's nearest challenger, returning a nett 67 to clinch the runners up prize.

Ronan McWilliams (12) also returned a nett 67 to win the Category One prize – a birdie 2 at the 7 th hole enhancing his prize-winnings but also denying Juvenile Captain Lee Campbell a major prize for a third week in a row. With a nett 67 Lee – now playing of a handicap of 9 - had to settle for the Category One runners up prize this week!

Gregory Kerr's nett 71 and better back nine earned him first prize in Category 2. Lee Kirrane (16) was runner up – despite taking nine shots at the par three 3 rd and another nine shots at the par five 10 th hole!

In Category 3 Pat McAleavey's steady scoring for a nett 73 deservedly earned him first prize with Brendan Lynch a further shot adrift on nett 74.

Stewart Stevenson returned the Best Gross score – 73.
