The ladies who played in the morning on Thursday last got the best part of the day for the Waltz competition as was evident with the prize winners. The leading team of Margaret Pender, Frances Davidson, and Teresa McVeigh were the winners closely followed by Ellen Brady, Valerie Gordon, and Hillary Johnston. In 3rd place was Paula McCrory, Eilish Grimes, and Ann McDonald.
The Ringer competition was played over a number of weeks and the winner was Nicola Spence with Karen Edgar and Ann McDonald joint second. The Gross winner was Paula McCrory.
The winners on the previous Thursday were as follows. Winner Catherine Corrigan, runner up was Una Cullinane with Lynne Brown third. The front 9 winner was Carmel Cassidy and the back 9 was won by Eileen Fitzsimmons. Congratulations to The Challenge Cup Team who qualified to play in the All Ireland Finals in Wexford at the weekend. The girls beat the Connaught champions on the first day but were edged out by a very strong team from Castletroy, Co Limerick in the semi final. Well done ladies!
