It certainly wasn’t your typical dark, winter night on Thursday 30th of January at County Armagh Golf Club as the Lady Captain Frances Davidson hosted a wonderful supper evening to welcome all lady members to the start of the new golfing season of 2025.

Upon arrival ladies were greeted by our Lady Captain, who very generously provided a pre-dinner drinks reception. On commencement she gave a warm welcoming speech to a packed clubhouse and in echoing her sentiment, May 2025 be a year filled with friendship, fun and laughter for all the ladies at County Armagh Golf Club.
Flo McCall, ladies secretary kept proceedings running smoothly throughout the evening whilst competition secretary Paula McCrory announced prize winners for the ‘Ladies’ Sweep’ (SEE BELOW FOR WEEKLY WINNERS) and each winner was roundly applauded as they collected their prizes.
Music for the evening was provided by ‘Jack Daniels’, followed by Karaoke which proved we have a hugely talented ladies branch!!!!!
Thanks were given to all committee members for providing the raffle prizes and Lady Captain for a very generous hamper and flower arrangement which were won by Pat Prunty and Helen Foster.
To add to the occasion two of our ladies, Geraldine Rafferty and Sr. Barbara had birthdays to celebrate and cake to share!
Finally the Lady Captain expressed gratitude to all those involved in making the evening such a huge success; Ryan & Brenda of the Parkland Restaurant, Neil & all the bar staff, Flo, Paula and indeed all committee members.
Congratulations to Lady Captain Frances for a very successful, entertaining and enjoyable evening. No doubt everyone will be looking forward to an extremely eventful year ahead!
